Golf at Costa Esuri
There will be two 18-hole courses
The western course (covering approximately 800,000m2) opened in Decemeber 2006 offering a challenging test at all standards. The front nine is a links style and runs along the river Guadiana.Should the wind blow, some of the testing 450 yard par 4’s will make for some interesting scores. The back nine is more undulating with water hazards coming more in to play. Interestingly, the shortest par 3 off the white tees is only 196 yards!!
The greens are large and undulating. Although the course only opened recently, the greens are some of the finest that I have played and I would liken them to Turnberry, Gleneagles and Wentworth.
What is very attractive about the west course is that unlike other new developments in Spain, it is not too close to any urbanisations.
The eastern course ( covering approximately 750,000m2) will be shorter and is due to open later in 2007. It will also be challenging and will have seven lakes to catch out any wayward shots.
