Unfortunatley the Spanish version of Dr Beeching has stopped the train service from reaching Ayamonte, it now stops at Huelva.
However these are the excellet services that run in Spain
Alta Velocidad (High Speed)
These include the magnificent AVE which runs on a special line from Madrid to Cordoba and Seville. (under 3hrs)
Talgo 200
The Talgo 200 train runs from:
- Madrid to Malaga (4.5 hrs)
- Madrid to Cadiz (5 hrs) and Huelva (4.5 hrs)
- Madrid to Algeciras (6 hrs)
Grandes Lineas (Long Distance)
Services from Madrid and Barcelona direct to the following major cities in Andalucia:
- Huelva
- Sevilla
- Cadiz
- Jerez
- Sevilla
- Algeciras
- Malaga
- Cordoba
- Granada
- Almeria
- Linares / Baeza
There is also a service from Cadiz to Almeria via Jerez, Sevilla Cordoba and Linares / Baeza,and a good coach connection from Seville to the old train station in Ayamonte (Now the Bus station)
